I am FINALLY getting around to sharing this sweet couple's wedding back in January. It's a good one!
Stacy and Daniel have a super fun and adventurous history behind their meeting, eventual dating, courtship, and now marriage. Daniel was a travel nurse here in Seattle for a 3-month assignment, but when he met Stacy he never left :) The two of them share a deep love for the outdoors, which was mimicked in their color scheme -- how cool?! Their green and blue emphasis wasn't a nod to the Seahawks (GO HAWKS anyway!) but the beautiful blue, green, and grey hues of nature seen on their hiking adventures. There are so special and intricate details to this day, none of which were by accident; Stacy has even created her own "Wedding Fact Wednesday" to share those details with her friends! Everything from the meaning behind their colors, to their custom-made wedding rings, to her statement necklace, everything was intentional. I can't wait to hear even more stories behind their day!
Within Sodo was a beautiful location for the wedding and reception, and the industrial surroundings made for some fun photos. And, guys, I can't emphasize the bravery of this couple more than this: it was 25 degrees and Stacy was out there in a strapless wedding gown taking photos for almost an hour. I had leggings, a dress, a and a coat on, and I was STILL freezing! She totally rocked it, and you'd never be able to tell from the photos how bitter cold it was. And major props to her bridesmaids for keeping up their energy and joy while also freezing their buns off in their dresses!
It was such an honor to share this day with these two, and witness such faithful and abounding love between the two of them. I don't think Daniel stopped smiling from the moment he saw his stunning bride....what a beautiful picture of the joy of marriage.
Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Borkert! Here's to thousands more adventures in this lifetime!
